Default Why So Serious? Obama/Joker Poster Draws 'Outrage'

"If there's one thing about liberals, it's that they're predictably predictable. In their eyes, it is more than acceptable to mock Sarah Palin and her family, using descriptions that range from rude to crude."

"However, no one better make fun of Barack Obama or the thought police will express "outrage" and brand you a racist. That's exactly what is happening now as a poster of Obama in "Joker" makeup is popping up on walls and city streets."

"My question to the lefties: Why so serious?"

"Liberals certainly have a hard time when the shoe is on the other foot. They can make fun of Palin or McCain or Bush or Gingrich or Rush or whomever, but they cry foul when one of their own is the target. It's racist... it's mean-spirited... it's dangerous. Grow up! Obama's actions and policies are dangerous. A poster is just a poster."

So true. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Default I do agree with the first part of your OP. "Why so serious"

It's just a poster, and it isn't racist in any way. It is a politically motivated piece reflecting the general mood of a large portion of our population. If this were a poster making Obama out to look like say, a monkey, I would be upset about it. And I didn't even vote for him. I would simply be upset because of the racial implications it would cause and the major setback it would represent for our country concerning race relations. This, on the other hand, is none of those things. It is a poster, nothing more. Really not even that funny. And to tell you the truth, if Obama acted half like the Joker did in that movie, we would be in a whole lot more trouble than we are now. So I will repeat your original question.

Why so serious?

I voted for Obama but I think the Joker posters are pretty funny and inventive.

Oh, didn't realize my shortened words would 'offend' or that it was a 'no-no' to shorten.......
Sorry, one of my boys is a teenager...does that explain it?
Didn't mean to break any rules of c-d there. Oops. My bad.
Didn't realize that c-d was such a pretentious place to post.

yah, I did too. Guess it's apparent that many don't have such a great sense of humor.
That is becoming more and more obvious the longer that I come to this site and post/read.
