DETROIT (CNNMoney.com) -- On a side street in an old industrial neighborhood, a delivery man stacks a dolly of goods outside a store. Ten feet away stands another man clad in military fatigues, combat boots and what appears to be a flak jacket. He looks straight out of Baghdad. But this isn't Iraq. It's southeast Detroit, and he's there to guard the groceries.

Anyone who has lived in Detroit wouldn't be surprised by this. We had armed guards working at sites during the day and night, depending on what part of town we were in.

Ahhh... Michigan... the poster child of liberals chasing out businesses and then open their hands and find out there is nobody left to hand them anything... how does it feel to tax people like crazy? Not to good huh...

Hunger is "hitting" many areas, not just Detroit. Although Michigan is in a depression, w/ the collapse of the automotive industry, Michiganders are resilient and hard working people. Detroiters are survivors and are used to the world viewing anything Detroit as negative. You'd better believe one thing: If Detroiters are hungry, they will find a way to be fed!

That is so shocking. It is a reminder to all of us to be grateful for the conveniences we still have.

Welcome to diversity America.

White people, things will be so much better when you are a minority. Things are just so beneficial in a 'diverse' environment.

Why live in a homogeneous country like Sweden or Iceland when you can live in South Africa with the world's highest rates of murder, baby rape, gang rape and robbery?

DIVERSITY - We _ALL_ benefit.

Yeah, that's why we should all aspire to only live among white people.
