Sadly, I believe this to be true. I definitely don't want that for myself or my children (or anyone else, for that matter).

Very, very true!

Sorry....I know what I and my contemporaries mean and that ain't it.
We watched that sentimental TV when it wasn't yet in re-runs and even then knew it was pretty fluffy.

The Australian Porn King Rupert Murdoch, who owns FOX News (how's that for irony, all you right-wing Christians out there?) also owns right-wing politicians and is in economic league with insurance companies. Murdoch alone is responsible for the FOX engine that is fueling panic and fear among the less-educated right wing. Filled with the passion of jingoism--fueled by their corporate handlers (although they have no idea that they're being used as political pawns)--they feel empowered and "important." Hence: We have Katy Abram--the new "Joe the Plumber." Terrified of "losing" her "country." She's been so filled with fear by the lies she hears, she is constantly on the verge of crying--and has no idea, of course, that she's been had.
Take home message-

If you oppose Obama, you are just stupid. George Soros is the only one who has the right to arrange and finance opposition groups in America. Haven't you heard?

Less educated right wing? Why is it that average republican IQs are higher than democrats? Why do the republicans control most of the wealth in the US? I guess if we were so stupid (my IQ was measured at 156 in med school), we would be poor, like many democrats.

Just because someone disagrees with your point of view does not mean they are "ignorant" or "stupid". They simply have a different point of view. I do not agree with lefties, as I think they are misguided and do not understand practicality vs idealism. Condemning an opposing view as "stupid" is capitulation to an inability to formulate a coherent counter point to thier views.

I hope you realize I would not decline to answer just because I can't.

Unless I practically wrote a dissertation I would not be able to adequately explain well enough how and why these things made life better.
Each one is dependent on another one or more so no easy way to
just list them instead, which would only serve as an opportunity to sneer and jeer anyway.
If I was to attempt such an endeavor, it wouldn't be for CD

Was that your mom's med school? You set out a supposition ("Take home message- If you oppose Obama, you are just stupid. George Soros....") and proceed, after a while, to shadowbox against it ("Just because someone disagrees with your point of view does not mean they are 'ignorant' or 'stupid'").

Well, that's because they were afraid of Obama.

What "things". What LML posted? Women in the kitchen, gays in the closet, blacks second class citizens? Or what boompa posted about hiding under our desks for an air-raid drill and 45 kids in a class? Some of my own: girls' athletics practically nil in the schools, intellilgent women counseled to go into secretarial programs (though I see nothing wrong with being a secy, I might add), women having few choices other than teaching, nursing, and social work in the college arena? Please explain some other "things" that are mitigating factors for all this.

My goodness. A doctor with an IQ of 156 and this is the best you can do?

#1. I would like to see empirical evidence that proves republican's IQs to be higher than that of democrats. Were we to go strictly by the IQs of the presidents we've elected I'd put Obama and Clinton up against Bush and Reagan any day.

#2. I would suggest to you that being a republican doesn't make you rich. Sometimes being rich and greedy and selfish and narrow minded does make you a republican. But this country is blessed with many very wealthy people who are generous, compassionate, and intelligently open minded and they do not choose to be republicans.
