The maximum due is $16 for a year. I joined for 5 years at $12.60 a year. This is not much money to support a noble organization that watches out for millions of working and retired working people.
And since the government pays for all the folks who aren't working people through welfare, etc. I guess that means everyone is watched out for. Hooray!

1.3 of that is less than $30,000 a year so that is a LIE! You cannot hardly pay rent, food and bills with that. So either you are telling us a LIE or you are leaving out some facts- like maybe you live with your folks or your wife maybe has a job and thus you "really" make $60,000 a year.

I take what everything people say about themselves on the internet with a grain of salt. It doesn't even matter if it's true or not because it doesn't impact anything one way or the other.
With this topic thats not necessarily true. The AARP lobbies for free stuff for seniors, (odly enough, liberals here object to lobbiest otherwise), and that lobbying has helped to bankrupt this nation. Sure, I guess the old people see that as something positive, but I guess if your old and going to die, debt isnt a concern of yours..
Please, tell me what free stuff the AARP has gotten for me??
