They CAN but I didn't say it was the RIGHT thing to do.
They can always find another provider whose overhead costs were lower.

I mainly meant they can pay lower prices for surgery, not for routine doctor visits. If a doctor wants to charge $30,000 for a surgery that someone in another town will perform it for $16,000, I'd gladly give the policyholder a gas card and a voucher for a hotel stay for the family member who is staying with them and call it a win-win.

That's abut $20 sq ft with the CAM. That isn't bad.

They will not have an easy time finding a provider in the United States with low overhead costs. Regarding surgical fees, most surgeons accept a negotiated fee for the surgery that includes a 90 day global fee. Doctors are not paid near as well as you seem to believe. There was a surgeon on the radio last week who was infuriated that Obama stated that surgeons made thousands of dollars for amputating a foot. He said he made $700 to $1000 dollars and that he had to treat the patient for free for any care related to the amputation for 90 days. He calculated that he made approximately $30 per hour for his care for these amputation cases.

That isn't bad based on what amount of reimbursment per patient? I would love to see your projection. Don't forget that the doctor has to pay employees to render a service.

Why don't you call some surgical offices in your area and find out? I feel no obligation to educate you. You just throw out random crap without a clue.

You think they'll just tell me over the phone?

Ha...you're a lot dumber than I thought.
Why don't you give me the number where you work and I'll ask them. I mean, they'll be MORE than happy to tell me, right?

I feel proud that a person like you would consider me dumb. I consider that a compliment considering the source. Thank you.
