Nancy Pelosi didn't waste anytime pushing their agenda, in a speech today she said:

Quote:
Ted Kennedy’s dream of quality health care for all Americans will be made real this year because of his leadership and his inspiration.

Ted Kennedy’s dream of quality health care for all Americans

that's the main problem with the 'current ' billl, it does NOTHING to give QUALITY, low cost health care to ALL americans

all it does it make way for CRAPPY govenment care that will overburden the TAXPAYERS on a type of care that does not make way for QUALITY, and PROGRESSIVE care

While I respect Sen Kennedy I hope most people realize that changing the name of the bill won't change what's in it.

Sen. Byrd Wants Health Bill Renamed For Kennedy
Do it.
It will give the bill further negative connotation with mainstream America

Upon reflection, it may be a good idea .
If it's named after him maybe it would shortly end up like him and we could have an R.I.P thread for it.

this would certainly be a meaningful tribute...
Would it really? It would be a slap in the face to most Americans, who under this plan, would not have access to the kind of care (especially not at his age) that Kennedy received.

Remember, the politicians have exempted themselves from participating in the plan they want for the rest of us.

Hate to sound mean, but screw Kennedy, and the whole damn Kennedy clan of scoundrels. Ted Kennedy was one of the most hate filled Democrats in the Senate.

Let's not forget what he has done to people like Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, Miguel Estrada ... how many others?

Kennedy was a primary architect of the "politics of personal destruction".

For how much Pelosi and other libs talk about Kennedy having a dream about universal healthcare, I have to wonder, would Pelosi, etc, also be enrolled in this healthcare plan, or would they keep their Cadillac healthcare coverage, while the rest of us working stiffs are stuck with Obamacare? I think we all know the answer to that one.

Majority of us say NO to this bill passing yet the select few of you want it go on. Why?
Worse, they may shove it through based on a "rules" (I forget the term) procedure, which is not intended to be used for such things. These people are as corrupt and dishonest as they come.
