You cant explain this to the partisans. They only care that their party wins as if that justifies anything.

That's not true because I'm all about cleaning up the Democratic Party to make it better. Not switching parties. That is easy.

The PROBLEM is better people need to start running for office~

I also know the Democrats need to start cleaning up their party and making it better. You don't leave a party, you get it back on track.
FWIW, I've never been affiliated with either party, so I never left!

I am a libertarian Conservative and do not like either party. But the leader of our movement Ron Paul has decided the best chance of getting our message across is to be part of the {R} party. And he is right about that because a 3rd party has no chance of winning and is mostly ignored by the media.
Our movement has been making some noise and is trying to win 10 seats in congress. The main recognized names are Rand Paul,Peter Schiff and R J Harrris.
To me both of the parties get their marching orders from Federal Reserve, the banks and wall street. And foreign policy is being run by the CFR and the objective is to lead us into one world gvt.
I stay strong to my beliefs and voted for Chuck Baldwin for POTUS,there was no way I was going to support the other 2.They showed how much they were alike when they both ran to D C to bail out the banks from the orders of Barnanke.

You get new people, but then they would be corrupted by the same influences as what exists today. The entire system from all sides needs a flushing, and a complete all-around overhaul would be needed.

The leader of your movement hangs out with Neo Nazis and you complain about other parties having issues?

To those who are pissed off: Better luck next time. I know what it's like to feel very frustrated. Believe me, I've been there, and I'm much happier when I feel like my side wins. I just don't understand the idea that the government needs to be overthrown, and there is a very vocal minority on the right who is advocating this.

Many liberals talked about leaving the country after Bush won - especially after he was re-elected. I don't remember any of them talking about overthrowing the government, however. Which would be worse? Individuals leaving the country if they don't like it, or small, but organized groups working toward dismantling the United States as we know it? I'd say the latter is much worse.

I don't really blame that on what a Party stands for. I blame that on the millions of Americans who don't care. When we went to war with Iraq, millions protested around the world, America does not care~

Very few people actually get involved in issues and their communities.
