Multiple races and ethnicities are a 'workable' propositon. Multiple cultures are not.
I actually agree with this. Multiple cultures under common law of the land don't work. You can REMEMBER cultures, celebrate them, teach about them, etc. but you can't expect to continue LIVING them when you are part of a bigger picture.

Okay, I tried to find anything I could to substantiate your claim and could not. The U.S.A. has had huge numbers of non caucasian immigrants, both willing and unwilling throughout it's history not to mention the native people that were here to begin with.
At differing times the population of African origin slaves outnumbered their caucasian counterparts by three to one in the southern States. There was also a huge influx of Asian, primarily Chinese in the western States.
Now,.. I may be wrong,... wouldn't be the first time but, I can not find anything to back up the claim that the U.S. of A. was ever 90% "white".

Not at all. I'm Catholic....but have never lived in a country 'ruled' by the Catholic church...(nor would I want to). My wife's Indian....but has never lived under tribal law...nor taken orders from a 'chief', nor lived as a nomad. Many of my relatives are of Mexican descent...but live as Americans, with the protection of American law, and the US court system. My niece is Japanese, but doesn't live as such...and my god-daughter is black, yet does not live as an African. ALL of the people I know, in my family and acquaintances, live under 'American' cultural norms, enjoying 'American' freedoms, under a legal system originally BASED on English Common law (but actually an improvement on that). The deed to my house...(and the property of EVERYONE who lives in the US) is described in terms of the land-survey system of the US....derived from British concepts of private property. In fact, many scholars on the subject have insisted that our entire US 'system' is based on the right to own, buy, sell, and use, private property....again, a notion derived from English common law.

That may have been true in some areas, for a few years...but I agree, it's a stretch. Some authors have stated that over 25% of ALL 'cowhands' during the great western 'trail drives' of the years just after the Civil War were blacks or Hispanics. For some of its early chaotic history, the inhabitants of Nevada were over 25% Chinese....both Mississippi AND South Carolina, if I'm not mistaken, were, for part of their history, majority black. LARGE areas of Texas and New Mexico were majority Hispanic, and remain so today. "90% white"?....I find that a dubious claim...though, as you say, I don't have the figures to prove it wrong.

Probably so....but a 'xenophobe' in a nation which has probably made more room for 'foreigners' than any nation in the history of the world....whose whole population, just about, is descended from foreign immigrants.
Maybe he's a xenophobe (aren't MOST people, around the world ?)...or maybe he's just 'grumpy'....I don't know.
