The demonstrations seem reasonably peaceful...so...I do not anticipate any deaths at a Tea Party.

I noticed you used "IMO" further down in this post.....you should have used it at the beginning of your first paragraph. I don't see things concerning the Bush administration the way you do....I also don't see things they way the right views the Obama administration either though....mainly because, that's their opinion of him, just like this is yours.

Open carry is legal in most places but not socially acceptable in most places. If a person carries a gun to a public meeting then the jump between carry and use is just a heartbeat away in anger which most meeting today now have in abundance.

I guess these tea parties aren't "most" places as far as being socially acceptable, since many are apparently doing it and it's being accepted by the people that are attending them. It's only the people that aren't going to them that have a problem with it. The jump between carry and use is probably a heart beat away for a criminal in possession of a gun. These aren't criminals openly displaying they're in possession of a weapon, they're citizens that are legally protesting. I doubt many criminals attend and if they do, they're not going to be openly displaying their weapon (if they're felons they're not even allowed to possess a gun legally). These are people that own guns for defense, not to commit crimes with them.

The right wing was in power for the last eight years and IMO they are acting like a spoiled 2 year old throwing a fit now that the Dems & the left are in power now. There is also a deep seated unspoken hate for the man who is now in office due to his race but we can't go there. Yet.....

Right, this is your opinion....I've listened to the same kind of stuff for the last 8 years from the left....I'm not sure you're capable of realizing it since you seem to support the left. It's difficult to see things clearly once you become a hater.

The right wing is still trying to take power back by any means they think is necessary and yet the people who are not right wingers still stand silent. God only knows what will happen next.................
Which is exactly what the left did the last two elections...it's no different now, just like it was then except the two parties have switched roles.

Your typical leftist post is trying to demonize the conservative movement, without having the intelligence to go to one yourself to see that they're peaceful protests. I thought you hippies loved protests.

Instead you'll pick and choose what you listen to and will do what you're told by your dear leader.
Pretty funny that you would talk about "Having intelligence" while claiming "Socialism" at the same time.

I'd agree, with the exception of brain cells.

You have to be kidding. No one was even arrested and that is very good for such a large crowd.

Oh, maybe if ACORN sends out some goons to rough up some people like they did at one TEA party but I doubt it will end with a death, God help us.

Default Will someone die at the next tea party?

Possibly... They have already killed the "public option".

Hitler one said......"Tell a lie long enough, loud enough, and soon it will become the truth. "

Tea parties are all about the spread of lies and misrepresentations of the facts.

Tea parties and the right wing also corrupt the moral compass of good people who get taken in by their constant noise from neighbors, friends and the media.

See someone who could be your neighbor in this video?

YouTube - CNN: There Is A "Dark Fringe" To These Tea Party Events

Where were these people during the Bush/Cheney years when there was real cause for protest?
I don't know if someone will die at the next tea party or the 10th one or at the next town hall meeting when there are so many angry people who's rage has been stoked by the professional hate and fear-mongers out there. I don't think that some are thinking clearly at this point and I'm not convinced that they haven't lost sight of their common sense. I think that some are capable of killing right now because they think they are killing for a "cause". This is dangerous no matter who is doing it.

I think that a few months ago I thought that the hate towards Obama was because of his policies. I have changed my view since my eyes have been opened. I believe that the vehement hate against Obama is because he is black (gasp) and that he is not part of the Old Boys Network in this country. The deliberate shunning that he received when trying to talk to the students of our country on September 8th has confirmed that to me. Our children (my own) were deprived of hearing his message due to the 99.8% white, extremely conservative, Xenophobes in our town. I have no doubt that even though people will say that that's not true, I say that it is; some people have deep-seated fear of anything or anyone that is different from them. That includes skin color, creed, religion, and even name. How many times have we read "Hussein Obama" on these boards??? If this doesn't say it all, I don't know what does.

While I think your post is both accurate and timely there are those that will not listen to anything but the sound of their own voice. A voice that is all to often filled with hate and misinformation. I truly have to wonder if cooler head will ever prevail before all this hate and anger manifest itself in violence, death and destruction.
