The lunatic fringe that is the tea party movement now brings guns to the rallies to ramp up the hate these parties represent. How long will it be before someone at these tea parties with a gun decides to use it?

Hitler one said......"Tell a lie long enough, loud enough, and soon it will become the truth. "

Tea parties are all about the spread of lies and misrepresentations of the facts.

Tea parties and the right wing also corrupt the moral compass of good people who get taken in by their constant noise from neighbors, friends and the media.

See someone who could be your neighbor in this video?

YouTube - CNN: There Is A "Dark Fringe" To These Tea Party Events

Where were these people during the Bush/Cheney years when there was real cause for protest?

Tea parties are about those that are concerned about the socialistic turn this country is taking standing up and saying we're not going to take it anymore.

Your typical leftist post is trying to demonize the conservative movement, without having the intelligence to go to one yourself to see that they're peaceful protests. I thought you hippies loved protests.

Instead you'll pick and choose what you listen to and will do what you're told by your dear leader.

This may be the culmination of years of outrage. It takes quite a bit to get your average American off their couch these days. Maybe we/they have hit our/their boiling point.

This sounds the "blood in the streets" nonsense the antis brought out everytime a state ended restrictions on guns or carrying them, which never turned out to be true...

AFAIK the only violence at such events (town halls over the summer) has been perpetrated by Obama supporters. A man was beat up by a union thug while giving out American flags, another had his finger bitten off by a health care reform supporter.

Better question, where was the media?
There is a lunatic fringe on both sides buddy. Somehow CNN is only concerned about the 'dark undercurrent' when conservatives protest. Odd.

Meanwhile...this guy was detained and had his house searched by secret service. He was plastered all over the MSM as representative of the violent and dark undercurrent of the conservative protesters. How many people in the above link were detained and scrutinized.

I think we'd be better off looking at what is rather than what could be with these protests. I'll admit it: I think the "tea parties" are pretty silly. However, the people protesting have every right to do so. Hell, if I wanted to get together with a thousand people and march to protest toilet paper ("we should be using the three shells like the do in Demolition Man!.), I'd be will within my rights to do so.

There are folks out there who are very angry, but it's up to ALL Americans to make sure that protest is civil.

The guy that got his finger bitten off punched the finger biter in the face prior to the biting. Everyone leaves out that detail.

There is a whole thread about that "Zombietime" article where numerous instances over and over are posted regarding Bush dissenters being arrested and detained for things as simple as wearing a Kerry shirt to a Bush event. Some of these people even won lawsuits filed against the Government for these arrests.

Oh, I don't know about that.

I think the left is just as misinformed these days as the right is.

They're both running around like chickens with their heads cut off ..
