Credibility, it takes a honest man to admit mistakes, something the US has been too slow all too often to do. There's an awful lot of folks out there still owed an apology by the US government for the debacle of Vietnam.
Please, tell us what he has gained with his apology to the world.
the UN has agreed to sanction Iran - this is by far the best course of action fo all concerned. Obama has led this from start to finish, and gaining Russian support has meant a risky move by the administration in terms of the missile defence shield in Europe.
He has also achieved support in reducing nuclear weapons ahead of next years meeting - pretty good I'd say.
What you don't get is that Obama is still very popular outside the United States but the constant barrage of mindless criticism from the right wing nuts in America is weakening the President domestically - and this will certainly lead to a weakening globally, as world leaders won't rally behind a domestically weak President. IMO Obama is addressing real problems both domestically and internationally, and with the right support could do great things.

Well, so far it's been more like dismay and disgust from Israel, UK, Poland, Ukraine, Honduras, Columbia.
Now, if obama had admitted before the election that his goal was to embrace all the world's dictators and murderers, Castro, Chavez, Ortega, Noriaga, Ah-nutjob, Qadaffi, things might have been different.

Asking a left wing loon like a Kennedy to apologize would be a major job.
The global hate against American has definitely dissipated, and thus the seething desire to kill us by fundamentalist nations.
Really? Please, name those nations that had a desire to kill us. Like Iran? You mean they don't shout "death to America" anymore? Just one speech by obama accomplished all that?
What other nations?

Talk is cheap. Let's wait and see if those that agreed, in theory, actually follow through.
At the end of Mr. Obama’s three days of public and private arm-twisting, it was still unclear how many other leaders were committed to what the White House once called “crippling sanctions” against Iran if it continued making nuclear fuel and refused to respond to questions about evidence it worked on the design of a nuclear weapon.
The sharks that I see being the most detrimental to this country are the homegrown fanatics, Corporate Fascism and the hate and lie spewing right wing media shills.
I see you don't follow the left wing media at all.

Exactly! The Dems have a lot of apologizing to do. Maybe that's why Obama is trying to make up for lost time.

Nice spin. If Obama fails to achieve his objectives globally, it will be because criticism "weakened the President domestically". So, let's prop him up instead, right? Let's blindly follow, nod approvingly, hold him up to the world and say, "Look, here, a strong President with mettle". Maybe they'll believe that, instead of judging his leadersihp by his actions.
Obama is making sure that America no longer is a world leader in anything.
He is blaming us for all the ills in the world and thus creating new people and countries to dislike us even more.
Instead of healing old ills, the moron is creating new ones.
Sad to see what one man can do to destroy an entire country in 9 months.
