There's a war going on in France?

Ok, I'll say fair enough, but they're probably taking enough people that they need two planes anyway, so what is the difference? I feel this is another one of these unwarranted criticism threads.

Obama is supporting Al gore and his green non sense, very much...so Obama should show (since he has an example function as well) that he is all in favor of not wasting fuel for 2 flight when you can combine a flight and go on the same flight...and to stay away from this podium and not give a speech or use the technique that we have nowadays...which is satalite and have the speech broadcast in Denmark....I thought Obama was all about techniques with his Blackberry, teleprompters, etc...

You forgot - Obama was stopping off in Iraq before going to Cairo (where there had been some very serious death threats against Obama) - and this was BEFORE Obama went to Normandy

Laura Bush flew with President Bush in March of 2006 on Air Force one during their visit of the troops in Afghanistan. So I doubt this is for "security reasons." There is no such protocol. It's just because, "They can."

It is not uncommon for people that are parents to fly separately. If something were to happen to one of the flights, there is still a parent alive to raise the kids. Seeing that Obama has had more death threats than any other POTUS, they are thinking of their girls.
