As a political writer, I have to deal with these people and respond to them on a professional level, so when it comes to my personal life I certainly have no problem bannishing them to iggyland. I prefer to spend my down time engaging in genuine conversations that are fruitful and for the betterment of myself and others.
There is little benefit engaging with that type.
It's a waste of time - and to be honest they're more intent on hearing their own voices.

what topic would you like to discuss?

I must agree. They ignore the points that you make, tend to ramble about off topic matters as if it somehow invalidates your point, or if you just ignore them they pretend like they are right because you don't respond, and when all else fails they'll find a typo and have some sort of redneck victory dance over it lol...its sad that they have turned over their critical thinking skills to some half baked radio guy who hates this country yet they pretend that they are patriots.

Unfrotunatley, they are what is wrong with this nation and is why the country is dying. There's no sense of community or compassion, and it seems that most of them only want the freedom to impose their will on everyone else, and to grant freedoms only to those who happen to think exactly like they do and look exactly like they do.

But enough of that...perhaps we can move on to something more productive....

I am open for suggestions...I have currently been looking into the idea of seasteading (I am involved with a micronation so it caught my attention) or the Urban Greenhouse Initiative and they might make for interesting topics...or anything else you would like to suggest

Funny no mention of ACORN or Charles Rangle, those people did not go off the deep end?

Stop trying to mask the fact you are a liberal left wing looney from San Francisco that has no intention of reaching across the aisle to get things done in this country. You are interested in furthering your and only your ideology and oppressing anyone who disagrees with you; even if they have substantial reasearch and analytics to back up their arguments. This is evident by your little plan to have a "micronation" full of only people who believe what you believe.

If by progressive you mean seeking progress by lowering taxes on all individuals, eliminating both Capital Gains taxes as well as business taxes, expanding spending on the military, cutting spending on social programs and seeking to privitize every aspect of government except fire, police and military.....

then YEA!

if by progressive you mean wacky Karl Marx "workers of the world unite" and all that goof ball junk that Barry and party believe in then uh...no....

I like Poor Man's Lobster better than rich man's.

My recipe: To 4 quarts of boiling water add one cup of salt and one cup of sugar.

Drop in one-inch cubes of Cod, and when they float to the top, remove and dip in drawn butter. Yummie!

I see what you mean by sustainability : this is outside my field of expertise I have to say, but if I can contribute I will happily do so.

On a wider scale, I think if there are enough like minded people here ie. non-neocon reactionaries/rightwing spoofers.

We should create threads where us like minded people can post/discuss

Ok start a conversation lets see if I can have a rational one and I promise I won't use words like liberal, socialist or communist to discuss your ideas. :-)
