For one thing, Rush did seek treatment... others like Michael Jackson and Elvis did not. And Rush did it in time... before it did more harm.
Second, rush got addicted to that prescription drug not by choice. He didn't take it because he wanted to or for "kicks." It was for severe back pain. But I think every rational person knows that already.
Before it did harm? Lol, are you his psychiatrist???? - I lived in Palm Beach county years ago, the man laughs all the way to the bank hoodwinking poor angry white guys, and lives on a multi-million dollar estate.
Limbaugh doesn't hide the fact that he is rich. How does he hoodwink anyone?
Look, politicians and OTHER entertainers are rich! Are we being hoodwinked by them? You bet your bootay we are! They're the ones laughing all the way to the bank while we defend their righteousness, debating about which "news" channel has the "fairest" point of view. We've been had by all of them.
Fox News is real news. That should be followed by a sit-com style laugh track. Fox News caters to the non-thinking, paranoid buffoons. Fox News leads their viewers around by their noses. They have everything reduced to the easy-to-understand simplistics: everyone who isn't like me is a commie and hates America.
Since when did these people demand the truth about anything?
Fox News has about 36% Democrats that watch and we have seen enough videos of these non-thinking, paranoid buffoons on the left. Left wingers never recognize the truth. They actually think people like hussein obama and El Gordo speaks the truth!
Any news organization that took its responsibilities seriously would take pains to cover presidential criticism fairly. It would regard doing so as itself a test of integrity. At Fox, by contrast, complaints of unfairness prompt only hoots of derision and demands for "evidence" that, when presented, is brushed off and ignored.

Rather than in any way maturing, Fox has in recent months become more boisterous and demagogic.

What's most distinctive about the American press is not its freedom but its century-old tradition of independence—that it serves the public interest rather than those of parties, persuasions, or pressure groups.....For Murdoch, Ailes, and company, "fair and balanced" is a necessary lie. To admit that their coverage is slanted by design would violate the American understanding of the media's role in democracy and our idea of what constitutes fair play. But it's a demonstrable deceit that no longer deserves equal time.
Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann had to be removed from covering the Dem and Rep conventions because of their biased "reporting". A disclaimer was issued stating they were commentators and their views didn't reflect the views of MSNBC (yeah, right). And just recently CNN had to retract a story regarding alleged statements attributed to Limbaugh. It cuts both ways.
