Doesn't matter why or when he went in for treatment.. the fact is that he did, unlike M. Jackson. Rush got treatment in time, M. Jackson (sadly) did not.
Do you admire and defend all junkies who have to be forced off drugs, or just only this one?

Do you criticize only conservatives who (not by choice) get addicted to a common drug... the same drug which many other people also have been addicted to?

What's most distinctive about the American press is not its freedom but its century-old tradition of independence—that it serves the public interest rather than those of parties, persuasions, or pressure groups.....For Murdoch, Ailes, and company, "fair and balanced" is a necessary lie. To admit that their coverage is slanted by design would violate the American understanding of the media's role in democracy and our idea of what constitutes fair play. But it's a demonstrable deceit that no longer deserves equal time.

What a freking outrageous lie and joke this statement makes. Until FOX, for 40 years the american public had to see through and end around, the Cronkites, The Blathers, The Donahues. Finally, when a news media comes along that not only reports fair and balanced news but tells the truth about the outrageous bulls..t the liberal media has been feeding the folks all these years and the crybabyies come whining out of the closets. Get a life!

Really? I take immediate exception to the Cronkite comment.

Just because some flashy TV 24 hour news network whos reporters are all sports commentators or beauty queens comes on TV and tells angry white people and the rich what they want to hear does NOT make them a legitimate news network. Anymore than MSNBC actively aiming its news towards liberals.

REAL news doesnt focus on telling an audience what they WANT to hear (FOX telling its viewers how evil/bad/insidious the democrats/liberals/poor/blacks/immigrants/mexicans/non christians/gays are), it tells them what they NEED to hear.

There is an interview from the late 90s in which Rupert Murdoch himself admits Fox's purpose is not to present information to all that need to hear it, but present information to the right leaning in a way that keeps them tuning in.

Its all about MONEY. Give people 'news' which manages to tell them what they are already thinking, under the validation of 'news' and you will keep them watching. You arent informing them of anything, just sending out info with a slant perspective to keep them watching. MSNBC does the same with the left.

The point = Neither are 'news'. They are 'Infotainment'.

Faux News is as American as apple pie. Yellow journalism is as old as the industry whether it was the earliest partisan newspapers of the Hurst Papers at the turn of the 20th Century.

So what is your point that Rush, an Oxycontin drug addict, went through rehab before the drug killed him but after his drug addiction caused his complete hearing loss?

BTW, those Oxycontins were obtained illegally.

How is Rush coping with his "back pain" now? I see a lot of pictures of him golfing during and after his addiction.

It's funny why one man in power can get so upset over one TV station unless the truth is coming out and the ones in power don't like it. Okay, fuss all you want it will just increase ratings for fox, people will tune in just to see if Fox is right.

Kronkite, yea a real American hero So, the Networks and the other cable networks besides Fox are telling us what we NEED to hear? That Obama is here to save us all and all he needs is for us to give him the POWER to do so? Count me in when hell freezes over. Like the left is not being spoon fed by their own mouthpieces. This news as entertaimnent bit is getting ridiculous. I'm going to watch House now
