Now I'm a bit nervous. On one hand, that you've made it this far offers me hope, but if my body feels this old at a measly 52, what will I feel like at 80?
Start NOW to get yourself back in shape. Believe me, it CAN be done!!
OMG everything Obama does is evil, pure evil. If he had dinner we should make it so no one will have dinner any more. Don't do it yourself, boycott it, teach your kids never to eat an evening meal with other people! Only we can destory the insanity that lets people eat dinner.
If you’re feeling queasy, look away now. The New York Times scales new heights of sycophancy in its report of the White House state dinner last night, which by their account was the most charming, imaginative, glittering – yet tasteful! – social event since Jackie Kennedy was Queen of Camelot. Indeed, it may even have surpassed Jackie’s standards, since Barack and Michelle added a deeply appropriate and thoughtful element of multiculturalism to the glamorous proceedings. And the decorative magnolia branches, I’m relieved to report, were “sustainably harvested”.
You can always enjoy yourself at home by spending hours jumping up and down on a poster of Obama. You'd get some exercise and be able to physically unload your hate. Keeping all that hate inside will only have negative effects on your health. Enjoy!
With so many people suffering right now, I think it sucks that the media glamorizes this crap. I realize that it has been done for decades, but it is time for it to stop.
I've heard it said, and I believe it to be true, that when times are the toughest in the USA are the times when traditional pomp and glory in Washington DC is the most important. Why? Because it would make us appear weaker to the world if we cut back or quit and that would cause foreign investment money to flow elsewhere when we need it the most.

I think it's partly that, and partly that there is a certain level of fanciness that should attend affairs at the White House. The President--any president--may sit around his house in his pajamas drinking beer, but no one is going to write about it. Nothing against pajamas and beer--my boyfriend is wearing them and drinking one right now--it's just not news.

I wonder what the troops were eating? I guess the "commander in chief" will never know.

That is just so lame to bring that up. If he had gone to a military base to spend the day with the troops, you'd be here saying it was all for a photo op.
