Socialism always stops productivity in people. Plus do you think drug companies are going to be out money to develop anymore drugs or procedures to save lives when they lose doing it? Where is this money tree where we are suppose to get the 1.2 trillion to pay for everything. It's a nice thought and if we lived in a utopia it could be done but not doable in this life.

We've go some snake oil salesmen up on the hill for sure.
Do you have a legitimate link to back up that assertation that Brazil doctors are only being paid to see 10 patients a day, and only seeing 10 patients a day? They revamped their entire health system approx 10 years ago...

Just commit a federal crime and once imprisoned he will get totally free medical care. Perhaps make it count by threatening the president himself!

Because they all "die" when the country goes bankrupt or did you not see how the trend goes with the already only-for-debt "free" health care...

Would someone on the left please inform us why healthcare should be free. The basic necessities for life are food, shelter, and clothing (according to most), so should those ALSO be free?

Should not a farmer be compensated for his labors,...a builder for his construction,...and a clothier for his garments? If healthcare is to be treated as an entitlement, why should not the other basic necessities?

Please inform the conservatives where the "line is drawn"...

It is not free now and will not be after we get a national system. There, fell better? Now if you do not want to use it you can go buy your own, see how easy this is.

Does it matter to liberals that a larger percentage of the population has health insurance today than they did 50 years ago?

kinda the basis of a capitalist society. Each of us has a skill that we trade, barter, or sell in exchange for other goods and services. Some are perceived to be worth more than others.

WASHINGTON — Democrats trying to push President Barack Obama's health care overhaul plan through the Senate got a sober warning Friday that costs will keep going up and proposed Medicare savings may harm the program.
A new report from government economic analysts at the Health and Human Services Department found that the nation's $2.5 trillion annual health care tab won't shrink under the Democratic blueprint that senators are debating. Instead, it would grow somewhat more rapidly than if Congress does nothing.
