It's all fun and games until the battery pack dies. The new batteries cost thousands and the dead batteries are more hazardous to the environment than the CO2 they replaced.

do we really have to explain to you the benefits of FEVs?
hold on, i'm going to get some sock puppets and flash cards and maybe we can start from the top.

this is my favorite kind of wingnut. "let's kill the planet b/c those sissy liberals want to save it!"
I bet you're in a union, too.

Hey I just remembered - Me, Susan Sarandon, and Ed Begely, Jr. are starting an active media campaign AGAINST drinking cyanide.

The source of electricity has to come from somewhere and by what means.

Power plants that create electricity use coal to some extent in some areas.

A little to the side reminds me of some yrs back in Calif where a group of protesters went up the coast to protest the possible increase of drilling oil wells.

Guess how they got there?...NO... they did not march as one might suspect...they drove cars or rode busses which of course run on gasoline derived from OIL.

Slightly ludicrous considering that the planet has the Natural Gas and Oil for our usage.

Last of all Nuclear energy is and has been used for a long time as a power source.

I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure we don't make a habit of fighting wars with countries known for their vast coal supplies.

I think you might be right, but don't we export coal? Maybe that is part of the reason we don't fight coal exporters.

Maybe that one failed to hear the Glorious Leader when said during the campaign that he would break the coal companies with fines and that our electric rates would rise horrendously for his actions. They tend to hear what they want to hear and if it is uncomfortable they just forget it.
