Control our foreign policy, no not at all. Have a great deal of influence over our Middle East foreign policy, absolutely. As to contrary to our own special interest, that depends upon who you ask. I believe so in some cases, not all. No two nations on earth have the same national interests and this is why Thomas Jefferson warned us about foreign alliances and entanglements.
Of course not. If anything we control their foreign policy more than they control ours. If it wasn't for the leash we have on them they would be a lot more involved in aggressive tactics against their perceived enemies.
Unfortunately they have a great deal influence especially with issues that involve the middle east. I think alot of this is b/c of exerpts in the bible that insinulates that the Jewish people are the ones chosen by God and that their destruction would be the end of mankind (to paraphase it). I always believe that there are politicians that use that doctrine to take advantage of other countries on the behalf of Isreal. If the US dealt with them and all of the other countries in that area equally there would not be a probelm in the middle east.
Always remember this - for everything that goes wrong in your life, be it big or small, it is either the fault of Barack Obama or it's the fault of the Jews. Sometimes, if it's really bad, both.
This makes life so much easier to understand, once you accept these basic truths.
Just as much as any other lobbyist group, although some cancel each other out.
Well AIPAC has been influential enough to get Israel's status moved beyond that of ally to one that is called a, "special relationship", which far exceeds any other alliance we have with any other nation. So much so that the State Department had to give it a unique name.
It is consider the #2 most powerful lobby in America, just behind AARP, according to fortune magazine.
That is pretty substantial considering it is lobbying on behalf of a foreign country.
From the AIPAC website:
Quote:
For more than half a century, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee has worked to help make Israel more secure by ensuring that American support remains strong. From a small pro-Israel public affairs boutique in the 1950s, AIPAC has grown into a 100,000-member national grassroots movement described by The New York Times as "the most important organization affecting America's relationship with Israel."
Over 300 million Americans and fewer than 100,000 members in AIPAC and its the second most powerful lobby in the country? That is pretty impressive if you ask me.
Yes, ultimately AIPAC and the Jews control the U.S. Economic and Political system. Any U.S. Senator, Representative or elected official who votes against or takes a position against Israel on any political, military or economic issue in favor of any nation hostile against Israel is removed from political office and replaced by pro-Israel political allies.
