CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time - Blogs from CNN.com

Kean said Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab, the 23-year-old Nigerian who failed in his attempt to set off an explosive on an airplane about to land in Detroit, “probably did us a favor.”

So what favor did he do for the GOP?

By showing how well the "system worked".

I have a hunch that the GOP, especially Cheney, wishes for and welcomes a major terrorist attack for political reasons.

The guy would have done us a bigger favor if his underwear had ignited fully and eliminated the possibility of his having offspring. As it stands, he'll probably be released from custody in time to marry a Californian with a nose-ring and have a whole hut full of little Abdultammabammadingdongs just itching to do Allah's will by murdering non-believers.

How many timjes have I turned to the fellow next to me in line at the TSA booth at the airport and expressed relief that Richard Reid hadn't put his bomb in his skivvies instead of his shoes. Now this dumbass Nigerian comes along and tries to fry his frank and beans.

It's not funny anymore. It's time to put the Believers on their own airline and let them murder each other, and permit the rest of us to live our lives as normal human beings, secure and confidential in our choice of boxers, briefs, or thong. Or commando.

From your link:

Quote:
We had an administration which was not focused, as it should be, on terrorism and that’s understandable,” Kean said. “They were focused on health care and global warming and the economy. That’s very understandable. Secondly, we weren’t really focused on Yemen and the terrible things that are happening there. Now we are and that’s a good thing. And, thirdly, there were holes obviously and the [intelligence gathering] system wasn’t working well. We found out it wasn’t working well and the president understands it’s not working well and now we’re focused on fixing it.
Not sure this has anything to do with the GOP. Doesn't it benefit ALL Americans for any problems that there may have been, to be spotlighted and corrected?

Wow, another reference to the nazi's regarding the previous admin. Funny how everyone is all teary with hurt feeling's when people call the chosen one a commie but will happily link g-dub with nazi's. The hypocrisy is astounding.

This thread really shows how the left has become so unhinged they are lashing out in every direction. It is amazing how fast they have fallen since the fall of 2008, really fascinating.

Too bad neither of you read the linked story before commenting.
If you had done so, you would have seen that he meant "us" as in the United States, not the GOP.

Well maybe you still wouldn't have...
