The Power of 41. While Democrats are slap-happy over the very slim possibility that they will lose the Majority in November, the truth of the matter is that the GOP only needs 41 votes to stop the runaway locomotive that has become the Democratic Agenda. Nancy Pelosi can continue to run wild in the House all she wants, but when (not if) the GOP picks up a few extra Senate seats in November, her buffoonery will be put to a stop. What's the point of passing partisan House bills if the buck stops at the GOP-filibustered Senate? .
That's probably what will happen. Dems will keep the house, loose some seats in the senate but still be the majority. I think the real question will be if what I predict is correct will the right call it a victory?
yes , people, business and all that has been good in America has flourished when congress was balanced so nothing really got done. The country did its best in those years. People can govern themselves pretty damn good!!! yes I want nothing done!!!

I want moderation. I want the people who put the 218 Republicans in office to have a voice. Straight-ticket legislation offers none of that. Why do you think the Democratic mantra is to "never waste a good crisis?" What they really mean is to "never waste a good crisis since we have the majority." Their version of wasting a good crisis will be tempered by the opposition after the November elections. Considering the budget-busting philosophy that Democrats have employed since 2006, even you (yes you) should be looking forward to some sort of ideological moderation in the legislation that comes out of DC.
Using generalized anger and impatience as an excuse to turn the reins back over to the very people who steered us into the ditch to begin with doesn't sound like such a good idea to me.
I agree. Unfortunately, we're going to be subjected to rants like this for the next 10 months.
Vote so we can block them from passing bills. We are not better off then before. We are in terrible shape. We need to all vote to stop these jerks from doing anymore damage. I thought this health care was so stop costs!! I dont think so, it will raise costs for those who pay for it out of pocket. There is more too just cant list all the damage they have done and or will do. When they cant do anything its the best!!
THEY as in republicans, or THEY as in democrats? Here's something to chew on a while; how about they as in WE the People who don't hold our representation accountable, who don't show up on voting day, and who rely on smear campaigns to make decisions? Own it!!!
This is the government we the people deserve when too many prefer the easy buck over their liberty or to be lied to rather than face responsibility. Deregulation comfy now that it costs 80yrs of salary to repair? WHO did that??
They do when the choice is between illegals and Republicans...
I'll take a republican over a socialist, an illegal, or any other type of criminal scum running around the USA. I guess really both socialists and illegals (who both HATE the rights of our citizens) are sort of all the same type of scum!
