Don't you realize the GOVERNMENT is not giving you anything. Other taxpayers are footing the bill by paying more. And no I have never gotten anything from the government, and I don't want a bailout or a handout. I just want things to be done fairly.

The Government taxed Us, then the Government gave a credit for housing for first time home buyers. Its not a handout or a bailout. I could have bought my house with or without it. These types of credits are all over the place, not anyone else's fault but your own you don't take advantage of them.

Wouldn't you rather pay a very small amount of taxes and choose how to spend your money on your own. I personally don't need the government for anything, I can take care of myself.

You've probably already used some government money or you will at some point in your life. Like it or not. Also if it wasn't for the government I wouldn't have had the education needed to have the nice house and good job I have now. So I have no problem with the way I'm taxed now.
I didn't take advantage of it because I bought my house a long time ago. I also worked and paid it off on my own. That is the way I was raised. I am not needy, so why would I take anything from anyone else. Also, no I have not gotten a tax credit for anything. I just feel like all this money flowing out is going to come back to haunt us. How in the world will our country ever get out of debt?
This thread (and some of the responses) are exactly the problem we have with politics.
This two-option poll is quite anologous to the two-party system we should loathe so greatly in our own politics.
Really? Is Republican and Democrat my only two options? Is success/failure my only two options? Wait, there's a 3rd option, and I'd have to put "I don't know" like I am in kindergarten. Brilliant.
It's a sliding gray scale, people. OP would have been best served doing A+, A, A-, etc, etc. In which case, I'd give him a C/C- ....
Success=Passing grade (A+ through D-)
Failure=Flunked (F)
In my book, he gets an F. Initially I gave him the benefit of the doubt. No longer. For the record, I'd have given Bush an F too.

If you have no problem with the way you are taxed now it's obvious you are not a buisness owner. Also my parents sent me to school with no help from the government. I think there is a good chance I am older than you.
