Compare that to The Idiot (W) that refused to help even his fellow Americans until it got so embarrassing that he had to do something several days later. It is nice to have a real leader that we can be proud of for a change!
Correction: The idiots... the mayor and governor of that city & state...

Ahh, thank you for the clarification.

What a bunch of BULL!

Do you have one ounce of facts to back up your claim?

Millions of Americans also gave money to help in New Orleans, as well as in the Tsunami disaster. Americans do not need to wait to "follow [a presidents] lead".

Who has Obama made proud? Are you serious? He is a disaster. He has made no one "proud". Americans would do what they have to no matter who is president. This idiot has done nothing extraordinary.

Bush refused no one! That is such a bald faced lie!

A "real leader"? Yeah. Give me a break. Look at the state of our economy. Is he a leader? Don't think so. He is a colossal failure!

Get real.

When a catastrophe such as Katrina happens the federal government is needed for assistance. The city government and state government where crippled during that disaster. Even a blizzard in the north east can warrant federal help. Something like Katrina is pretty obvious. I don't see how this can possibly be pointed as a mistake by democratic leaders in Louisiana when their state was hit by a major hurricane. That is a very far stretch.

I doubt they were playing golf like Bush was.

Another Bush hater who has no clue how things work in the government.

Ask Nagin and Blanco why they knew 7 days in advance it was coming, has plans on their table and did nothing.

All these states and more have had disasters, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, California, the midwest floods etc all have had disasters and were handled correctly thought the proper chain of command.

Florida got hit with several canes and of course a rep took care of it and handle it perfectly. How about Haley Barbour? He did a fantastic job in his state.

Blanco and Nagan should both in in jail for not doing their jobs.

We have homeless people in record numbers dying all over American and our leaders at the WH sit back and are doing nothing about it.

So are you saying this admin is responding to a disaster in another country quicker then it is responding to the needs of Americans who are starving, living in our streets etc?

They knew weeks in advance it was coming, had meetings going over the evac plans days before it hit and did nothing.

Learn the system, the mayor ask the ask the governor for help, then the governor has to ask the feds for help.

Nagin wanted to be a hero and he turned out to be a total failure. He would NOT allow the national guard into the city until it was already out of control.

Your mayor is responsible for you first and foremost, then your governor.

So if it's the fault of the local government, then what the hell is FEMA good for? Oh right...nothing. Do you HONESTLY think the fed's sat back and saw the devastation and magnitude of a hurricane that large and thought, "The local's will be fine...they can handle it."

BS!!!
