He rode into town with stratospheric popularity, a "Change Agent" who was here to save us all from George W. Bush.

A year later, headlines all over the world tell a completely different story.

Policy - Radically Left compared to campaign rhetoric; Miscalculated his Agenda in a moderately conservative country; No leadership; Delegation to Nancy and Harry; Dissention within his own party.

Debt - Historical levels of spending, debts, and deficits. (No end in sight)

Unemployment - Misjudged the economy from Day 1. (Amateur)

National Security - Shaky at best; inept Department heads ("The System Worked")

Polls - Historic drop in the first year

Broken Campaign Promises - Taxes and Transparency (admit it, he fails)

Mockery - Nobel Peace Prize; Milk and Cookies with World Leaders (Fail)

With this continuous onslaught of bad news for the President and Democrats, liberals are continuously on the defensive.

Is there a pragmatic liberal amongst you that will stand up and acknowledge what the rest of the world clearly sees?

One of the marks of a great leader is the competent people they surround themself with.

What a difference one year makes. There are only 32% of the population that feels our country is moving in the right direction. This administration has been hell-bent on shoving its agenda through, regardless of what the citizens actually want. Poll after poll shows the most important issues to the american public are jobs and economy, yet time and again the administration focuses with tunnel-like vision on things of low priority to the people, ala health care reform, cap and tax..

It's become increasingly obvious to me that they put their agenda over the needs and wants of the public. It will be their own undoing.

After 1994 when the Dems had their A$$es handed to them Clinton took a more centrist position in the Whitehouse. After his failure with socialized health insurance reform he realized the radical left agenda would not be upheld in America.

Right now Pelosi, Reid et al have too much power. Once those loonies are marginalized We'll see if the President is ready to listen to the American people, like Clinton did, or will he continue believeing he is the chosen one?

It is interesting how all we have seen this past year from our President is a man still in campaign mode. How about stepping up and being a leader instead of acting like a used carsalesman?

He has no idea what to do other than do what he has always done, sell people a bunch of promises.
IMO,
He won't back down because in his mind its all or nothing. To fail would be a huge failure to "him" not the country. This man cares nothing for the people he thinks he rules, we are merely in his way. Obama and his cronies exploit all for political advancement.

Read up on what he did to his opponents in Chicago, this man cares nothing for anyone except himself. His results are a directly related to his agenda.

The Democrats are beginning to splinter from their Neo-Socialist leadership. There are still people who pay no attention to what's really going on and still support the D candidate but largely the only ones that are keeping their boat afloat are the bottom feeders and Stateists that are intent on "reshaping America" into their Socialist model.

I come back here from time to time to see how the current events have (or have not) affected the posting topics and posters. It's pretty funny to see the leftists scrambling and the absurd topics they are forced to post in a feeble attempt to scrape up any traction for their cause.

Our Gubmint is now acting against the will of the people.

Yet, he is still better than what the GOP gave us as a choice, and will probably be so again in 3 years, so.

Exactly what I thought. Not a single liberal will stand up and admit Obama's failings.

How surprising.
