She probably will be charged. But in the article it talks of a on going siutation of adoptions gone bad between America and Russia. What that will mean long term between the countries will be in question.
I can't say I know about Russia , never been there, but seems to me they aren't a third world country incapable of taking care of its people.
The woman did say he was like a Damien, threatening to burn down the house and kill them, still doesn't excuse what she did.
LOL, as if the boy's life in a Russian orphanage (aka, children's torture chamber) would be better than the one he had in the US. The grandma who paid his ticket back to Russia didn't abuse him, he was just too much for the family to handle. I wouldn't be surprised if the Russian adoption agency (baby brokers) had misled the family about him in the first place and never mentioned that he had severe emotional problems.
There's a reason why so many Russian children have such terrible behavioral problems that are difficult to overcome.
Instead of vilifying this family (no doubt anti-US nationalism played a part in their media hype of this story) perhaps the Russian government should do more to make their orphanages less vile and dangerous for their unwanted babies. These poor children are abused, neglected, ignored, and forgotten by their home country. That is Russia's great shame, not the US's.
Children can be scary. She should have been documenting his behavior, and getting professional help. Parents can be scary, too.
You are right, but we can't just decide to take them home and then-LITERALLY-send them back when we decide the child just will not do.
Besides she was a single mother, what's up with that???
