If I were to make an assertion on a forum as a fact I'd provide documented proof of such.

If it's your opinion that's another thing.

Do you really think that Russia is actually going to reduce arms when they can get out of this so-called agreement on a whim??

IMO: They'll opt out using another excuse so to keep and or increase their arms or want to "take over" another country in which the USA doesn't approve of - something like these examples anyway.
Does post #160 help you out?

You don't know whether or not something will work unless you try. You do not know for a fact that Russia will back out. It would certainly be to their benefit and ours to have the U.S. help secure all their loose nukes for them. Do you think "terrorists" would not attack "Russia"?

Nope post 160 doesn't do it, we went from discussing of the people favoring it and I needing proof in the poll numbers to now the Senate favoring it by you.

Congress is not too well liked by the American people from what I hear.
What do you all think or have heard or know as facts to this C-D land?

Yeah lets try and see, we only have possibly our lives to lose and also a country if it's wrong.

Just like Pelosi saying "we have to pass the health care bill so that you can find out what is in it".

See I like ABSOLUTES not a maybe lets try especially as something potentially as dangerous as a country's security possibly being compromised.

I don't want to purchase the cracker jack box to later find out what surprise is inside in this case.

I liked former President Reagan's approach pertaining to arms.

then maybe you should read Reagan's approach through to the end of his Presidency.

You have STILL NOT said one word regarding the number of nuclear weapons around the world which are very loosely guarded. Do you like the idea of loose nukes out there which could easily fall into the hands of terrorist organizations and end up in a big city near you in the U.S.?

Here's an interesting read: Missle Defense Crucial to Arms Reduction | The Foundry: Conservative Policy News.
it's the same.

from your link:

"Founded in 1973, The Heritage Foundation is a research and educational institution—a think tank—whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense. We believe the principles and ideas of the American Founding are worth conserving and renewing. As policy entrepreneurs, we believe the most effective solutions are consistent with those ideas and principles."

Try this on for size:

"Reagan always dealt with the Soviet Union from a position of strength. This included a robust nuclear modernization program, including the B-1 and B-2 bombers, filling out the Trident submarine fleet and its Submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBMs) and the MX or Peacekeeper missile."

Maybe he meant he had at least 57 more lies to tell by the end of the week.
