[LEFT]“We had like tornado drills” to practice responding to suspected infiltrators, said FreedomWorks spokesman Adam Brandon. But as the last of the speakers took the stage Thursday night, Brandon said “it turned out to be really much ado about nothing.” He speculated that anyone who showed up with the intent of pulling such a stunt might have backed down after deciding “they didn’t want to embarrass themselves in front of all these nice people.”

In other words, it was a non-issue. No one showed up to crash the TPs. It was just paranoia. Safeway has tinfoil on sale this week, stock up!

I wonder about the junior high teacher in Oregon who ran that crashtheteaparty.org. For some reason he is on leave right now. He was talking on the internet about getting the Social Security number of as many of the Tea Partiers as he could to use for bribing them. He had plenty of things he wanted to do. If they ever prove that he used school computers to do his game on he is in a world of hurt.

I would guess that you failed to see the thread right here on C-D of pictures of the signs that were created by enemies of the Tea Party for one of the parties. Only a fool would think that any of the Party people would make signs like those. I guess they must have been some of the protesters of the movement.

Counter protesters are a time-honored part of protests. Lots of the TPs have had them. The guy in Oregon had a grand total of 65 supporters, and he was nuts.

And he did suggest that the group steal as many Social Security numbers of Tea Party people to use to bribe and threaten with.
