GLADSTONE, Ore. - Authorities say a teenager from a faith-healing family died from an illness that could have been easily treated, just a few months after a toddler cousin of his died in a case that has led to criminal charges.

That is sad, but is one of the dangers of rejecting science for faith. I would have died at 17 if I was a member and believed in faith healing....I'm happy that they are changing the laws, but think 14 is too young to make that kind of choice.
I can not imagine sitting there and watching your child die when they could easily be saved by taking them to a doctor.
I think this is definitely a case where relgious freedom is going way to far.
