That area is in my husband's sales region so technically, yes, we have work. From our search, it appears that the following areas are good for families: Danforth, Lake Grove, Orchid Bay, Martin Downs. I am still tryong to figure out the area myself. Make sure, of course, you get a good realtor!

We just moved to NC (a week ago!) after three years in Palm City. We did very much enjoy living there. It feels much more protected and "small townish" than Stuart. I have nothing but great things to say about the schools. We went to Palm City Elementary and Hidden Oaks Middle, but Bessey Creek and Citrus Grove are excellent as well. Most of the shopping opportunities are in Stuart and Jensen Beach, but we didn't miss having big shopping centers. There are loads of children and families, but also tons of retirees, so I'm not sure whether I would consider it a "young" area, but still, very pleasant and safe for families with children.

We're Floridians who have lived in NC for a long time and just bought a house in Palm City. We love it! Close enough to everything, relaxed attitude. Great place to live!

Love Palm City....schools amazing. We had our kids in private school in Broward ($1500 per month) and when our children enrolled in the schools up here it turned out they we're behind in curriculum! They're pretty bright so they caught up fast and i couldn't be more ecstatic. We moved to Stuart West...awesome neighborhood....almost like living on a preserve. One thing I realized about Martin County as damn do i need a boat. Between Stuart and Palm City this area is all about the water...it's gorgeous...we've been renting boats on and off and taking the kids out to the sandbars and many little islands around the area...you never run out of activities around here.

Does anyone have an opinion good or bad on the Copperleaf/Centex development in Palm City and also Highlands Reserve in Palm City? We are thinking of possibly building or buying a resale in one of them. Thanks
