There's a ferry service that runs out of Ft. Lauderdale, 99/each way. There's also the Celebration line out of the Port of Palm Beach.

Otherwise, some boat charters probably operate out of South Florida that can do it for you.

not anymore

The Staff, Crew and Management of DISCOVERY CRUISE LINE thank the residents, merchants and Bahamas Government Representatives for your loyalty and support since 1987, when Discovery Cruise Line first sailed to Grand Bahama Island. Nearly 5 million passengers sailed on Discovery Cruise Line from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas during this period and enjoyed their vacation experience on the ship and on the island.

I've got an inflatable raft with a 1.2 Chevy small block attached to it that'll get you there in a few hours. I leave every night around 10:30. Meet me under the pier- I'll be dressed in black. Fee is $40 and a baby sea turtle!

LOL!

I imagine you could charter a boat to take you there but it would likely cost more than airfare. I assume there are flights out of Fort Lauderdale; anyone know if West Palm Beach airport or Melbourne have scheduled flights to the Bahamas ? We plan to go to the Atlantis resort after we move to the Treasure Coast. We visited it while on a cruise, and I would love to stay there a few days !
