Could you please let me know whether Jan/Feb are warm enough for going to the beach?
Thanx.

If you're from up north... yes! You'd be surprised how many people we see in the water no matter how cool it might be.

When we lived in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale we might go to SEE the beach in Jan/Feb but the water was way too cold to swim (unless you are Canadian!). So I think further north in Vero would be much too cold for a swim.

People from Michigan find the water balmy in January. Nearly every single time I see folks actually IN the ocean in the winter, I ask where they're from. Without fail, they're always from Michigan!

Best way to figure that out is to look online for the average temp of the water during that time (like sebastian inlet site or something), fill up your bathtub, and get the temp of your bath to match, and hop in.......are you freezing yet???

I am just kidding! But really I guess it depends on what temp you can handle and usually us Floridians like warm things NOT cold things so most of us would say "DONT GET IN!" but i also see alot of northerners in the water around that time. North Florida maybe not. But further South its warmer. So it depends where your going.

Of course it varies by year, but generally the water temp will be about 60 degrees during Jan. and Feb. Last year it got down in the 50s. The surfers will be in full wet suits during those months. We had some major freezing in the last 2 winters so the water has been chillier than norm in Jan/Feb. for sure.

We still go to the beach during winter months, but I will look like a Floridian and not one of the tourists. LOL I am the one barefoot, but wearing jeans and a hooded t-shirt while the people from the NE are in their swimsuits in the water-after all the water temps they swim in the ocean in in August is not much warmer than what we think is icy.

It might be warm enough.
Finding a place to sit that time of year is the real challenge.
