I live on the side of a beautiful, forested mountain in southwest Oregon, west of Wolf Creek.

Wind is picking up here, in Josephine County. No rain, yet. Still nice temps.

It's been pretty wet and windy so far, but a lot less than what I expected it to be after watching all the sensationalized weather forecasts.

We'll see how Sunday goes.......

I always thought that a storm like this is Mother Nature's way of celebrating the change of the seasons.
It is a lot of fun!

Nothing like a good storm to make one feel alive!
Looks like our November storms are coming in early!

Neat info site. Looks like about 0.5" so far today. I just guesstimated an average. I expected a lot more. Granted, we still have another storm coming into tomorrow.

City of Portland HYDRA Rainfall Network

Oh wow. The site just updated the numbers. The 0.5" was from about 3pm. It just updated at 6pm. It's now at 1" of rain where i'm at since 12am. So in 3 hours, we got almost 0.5" crazy. I'm at about 1.4" since yesterday morning.

BTW, of course my dog wants to go out, when it's raining the hardest and windy. Um, I don't think so dog. Hold it!

My Internet and phone service just came back online. I was without electricity for almost four hours. I have already had my fill of excitement for awhile.

Almost text-book.

There have been drier and hotter ones in the past that didn't have crappy winters associated with them.....
Yes, summer was normal, but spring was very dry.
