I think you're missing an important factor here. Since the OP doesn't have partner, the insurance company won't pay for fertility treatments. And she has repeatedly said that she doesn't have money for IVF. As aweful as you think we are, we're trying to help her resolve her issues within her available alternatives based on her specfic circumstances she shared in the tread. IVF isn't an alternative because she can't afford it.

Only because you can't have IVF and treating PCOS has the added benefit of helping you with the hormonal issues that might be contributing to your depression over this news.
