What is the gardening situation in Prescott, what I mean is is there a fair to good growing season if I wanted to grow a patch of vegetables in a yard garden next to a home I would buy in Prescott? I sure would like to grow my own organic vegetables. Up here where I live in northern MN it is so cold it is not really worth my growing food, but I am hoping maybe in Prescott I would get a few good months to do so?

Mentions a web site as well that may be useful to you.

Thanks! Weird, I posted my post on gardening just after someone else did the same thing, I had not seen that past as I had not refreshed my forum page before clicking New Post.

From my experiences here the season is sort of short then again I grew up in N CA.
I would not plant veggies until May and you will be done by Oct. Sometimes the first frost hits here in early Oct, this year that did not happen until the last of Oct.
My wife has an herb garden for cooking and many things do well right through the winter for her.

It sounds like the growing season, and seasons in general, in Prescott is pretty much like here in Duluth MN. But without quite the temperature extremes we have.
