Have you been robbed lately? He might be to blame:

Boy, 16, tied to 85 burglaries in Prescott Valley

Prescott Valley Police arrested a 16-year-old boy Tuesday in connection with at least 85 burglaries at a housing development over the past four months. Another 16-year-old was also arrested and accused of helping to house some of the stolen property.

Might have been the same person who tried to get in our house a year ago. We were asleep and I woke up to the sound of the back door opening. My husband got up and checked it out. The back door was open (how he unlocked it, I don't know) and we called the cops. They didn't know what to do (obviously the person left quickly when they heard us talk and get up). So, the next day we got door bolts for all our doors. It never happened again.

It might have been him, I don't know. It was a year ago when it happened.

Glad they caught them! Quailwood residents can rest a little easier.

This kind of behavior begins at home.

Prescott Valley has nothing to do for kids their age, so they turn to crime and drugs, it's sort of the "small town" effect.

Prescott Valley has nothing to do for kids? You gotta be kidding me. What do kids need to keep them from robbing homes? Maybe an theme park, that has houses they can rob?? There are lakes, bowling ally, golf, movie theatre, there are hiking trails, horse back riding, and allot more that I haven't mentioned. What did teenagers do 60 years ago? I lived in Torrance, CA and we didn't have anymore to do as Prescott Valley does. We went bowling, horse back riding, we had the beach, movie theatre. These boys broke into houses perhaps because there are no parenting guidelines at home. No accountability. Kids don't turn to drugs and become thieves NOT because of nothing to do, they turn to drugs and crime because they are not getting the guidance and love at home to nurture what they feel they lack in theirselves. There are just as many lack of role models in Phoenix, as there are in small town like Prescott Valley per capita.
