Well........that was disappointing. Titans are going to be a tough out, Vrabel will have them ready.

Of all the teams we could have drawn in a Wild Card game, the Titans were the team I thought would pose the biggest challenge. Mike Vrabel is an outstanding coach, the kind of guy I would love to eventually succeed Belichick. He has a lot of familiarity with the Pats, as do quite a few of his players and coaches. Ryan Tannehil has had success against the Pat's in the past and probably won't be daunted coming into Gillette.

If we want to win this, our defense needs to get back to mid-season form. We need to get our running game going at least a little. And we need somebody like Harry or Sanu to step up and be a halfway legitimate threat. Opposing teams have been able to lock down Edelman and White because there is no legit third option.

The good news? If they oull this off, I think they will build the type of mental toughness they will need to go into Arrowhead and pull off another upset next week. We shall see.

It has been a good run and no team is likely to ever come close to it in the salary cap era. Not enough talent on offense. All those years picking #32 in the draft finally caught up with them.

The strongest era. Kudos to New England.

Gotta give Belichek and Brady credit! They had a long run. Did New England fans give Brady a standing ovation, I think they should have cuz we not sure if Brady will be there next year.

I would have. Best 18 years of watching The Patriots.

I doubt Brady truly wants to play elsewhere. If the game showed one thing, it's that he is still capable of playing at an elite level. Some of the throws he made to guys that could not get open were borderline ridiculous. That first third down to Watson for example.

I think he is probably a little resentful that he has consistently taken deals that are below market value, only to get what he got for weapons last year. The Antonio Brown signing was a bad miscalculation on Belichick's part, he should have realized that the guy was beyond controlling. Maybe Sanu and Harry will be better with a full off-season in the system, but at the least they need to upgrade the tight end position. Brady is at his best with a capable pass catching tight end. There are several wide receivers that could make good additions as well. AJ Green is going to be a free agent.

The team next year is going to look drastically different. We have 20 pending free agents, including Devin McCourty, who may retire, and Joe Thuney, our best offensive lineman.
