2006 Bears
2007 Giants
2008 Cardinals
2009 Saints
2010 Packers
2011 Giants
2012 49ers
2013 Saints

Okay, it is obvious right? All of them were NFC champions. Yes, I am confident enough to conclude the Saints will be the 2013 NFC Champs. Why? Because of another interesting fact that all of these teams have in common that dates back to the 2006 season. Can anyone guess it?

Note: There may be more than one angle to look at this.

As NFC champs, they all went to the SuperBowl?

Excluding the 2013 Saints I was pulling for four of them to win.

No, you didn't, well, in a sense yes but it has to be more complicated than going to the SB!!!

I was thinking they went to the SB and then all lost the next year in the playoffs, an early exit or to 6th seed teams or something like that? Although Giants didn't make the playoffs last year, did they? Hmmm, I remember something about whoever beats the Eagles wins the SB? I'm really stretching here!

They all lost games that were played on odd-numbered days in October? Please reference check that.

Okay, here is a hint:

At the start of the season I would have had the 2013 Falcons in place of the 2013 Saints.
