Also why are the Saints rushing Brees back in? I had no idea Brees was starting today. He looks awful. And I’m more and more feeling the Saints are only a serious contender if Taysum Hill is under center: even a game manager-type QB is better for the way this team is built. Drew should seriously consider hanging it up after this season.
Jared Goff is just infuriating to watch play the quarterback position. No business being a starter in this league any more than Cam Newton.
Oh come'on, the Jets are a solid team, no shame in losing to them......uhhh
This is the classic trap game for the Rams. 17 point favorite, at home, they've had extra time to hear about how great they are, and have a game next week at Seattle where the NFC West is on the line even with a loss to the Jets today....so predictably they're totally flat out there.

It’s seemingly more commonplace than ever in a lot of sports, including the NFL, that these heavy favorites just don’t take care of business even if they’re flatter than usual. If the Jets win this too, it’ll be the biggest upset since at least the decade of the 80s. I know Miami’s win at Foxboro last year was the biggest in 24 years- and the Jets were an even bigger underdog today.
Situation with teams next year is going to be interesting, cap will be lower, some QBs, are showing this is who they are, and maybe some move on from their QBs.
Yeah that’s just hideous on the part of the Rams today and a game they needed. I’ll have to wait to hear from the NFL researchers, but this was the NFL’s biggest upset in 30 years or more.
Whelp, now the Seahawks lead the NFC West, can never count them out. Rams losing shakes up the bottom of the seeding probably. Saints lose to KC, gives Packers some breathing room at the top.
What I mentioned last week, is now looking more and more plausible- in fact a 10-6 AFC team would miss the playoffs. And incredibly, even going 11-5 might make you 8th and the odd man out. That mind you, is with a 7-team field for the first time. If you look at the remaining schedules of every AFC playoff contender, only one of them plausibly will end up with more than 5 losses, except if you want to take the “any given Sunday” approach per what we saw happen with the Rams-Jets result. The Dolphins currently are at 5 losses (at Raiders, at Bills). But you’d probably give the Dolphins a better than 50% chance of beating the Raiders. And before anyone states that the final game at Buffalo is a likely loss, let’s see what incentive exists for a team like the Bills heading into week 17. They’ve won the East. I believe the Bills also cannot be the one seed and get a bye, or if I’m wrong, the odds are slim to none. So at that point, does Buffalo care much about whether they end up the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th seed?
