Tight End is most pressing. Not only did they not draft a Tight End, they did not even sign one as an undrafted free agent. I had my eye on a few that would have been good choices, but neither one is headed to Dallas. Witten will be a year older and a year removed from the game, and no one else on the list seems to want to step up and play to potential. I thought Dax Raymond out of Utah State should be picked as an UDFA but he is headed to Chicago instead.

Safety was a problem last year. The team got beat on deep middle throws and power runs up the Middle. Rod likes power players who will control the line, and that much they can do,but when someone gets past the line, past the best LB corps in the league, then I do not see much improvement at safety over last year to stop them. And in the course of a game, sooner or later, it happens. (Colts, Rams games are examples)

Lat Few Years, OC Was a problem, as was, in my opinion, head coaching, but if the NEW OC can take advantage of Dak's quickness and gun shooting ability, then things will be OK.\
Drafting some OL help was good,I am hoping Frederick will be OK Hard to beat that disease but NFL players are super-humans. Most average people with that condition end up in ICU on vent for a couple of weeks ....Frederick is a tough guy Hope he can get back to being the player he was

I wish Hurns all the best but do not count him back just yet after that break. The team needs depth at WR, got two prospects as UDFA One from my Alma Mater but he is more of a catch and step out guy, not a run after the catch receiver. But he sure does catch everything that comes near him. He'd work in a two minute drill and get u some first downs.

Randy Gregory likely is done. sad situation with drugs in anyone's life but as far as I can tell, no persons who are of that character got picked by the Cowboys this year.

Will the Cowboys be able to meet salary demands in 2020? Let's go to the oft referenced "Over the Cap" site.

https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/dallas-cowboys/

2020 Team Cap Space: $84,005,501

Also Elliott will work 2020 on his present contract because of his built in rookie 5th year option. https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/201...019-nfl-draft/

I think this team is managing their finances well ... unlike when Jerrah was in direct control and we stayed in cap he11. I was somewhat against the size contract they gave DLaw this year but trust what this Front Office. Also let's take into account the cap has been rising $10-$15 million per year.

I am certainly no expert but I think we'll stay fiscally sound on salaries. Cows have the 5th best outlook in 2020:

(Wanna be envious the Colts have been in Fiscal Heaven 2019, 2020)

i am nto worries about the cowboys salary cap these days, they have been working to be frugal with their salary money to avoid cap issues. and they have always been willing to renegotiate contracts to free up cap money.

Hurns has been cut. I was afraid that he would not be able to return from that injury. No problem I think the write number 3 and number 4 receivers are already on the roster and headed for camp. I noticed that they picked up a fourth quarterback who had been signed with the Seahawks and then cut right away. This kid has some speed and possibly the ability 2 fit into the Dak Prescott scheme but like Cooper Rush he needs to work the sidelines more with his feet and not rely on the pocket. The good thing about the offensive line is that Frederick appears to be returning and looks to be healthy this will give the quarterback more time and a fast and mobile quarterback will be at an advantage behind this line

cutting Hurns saves $5million in cap space. They are already anticipating big contracts for Dak and maybe even Zeke. I read somewhere that Zeke was not on the charter to TC. Hope there's nothing to the holdout rumors.

No commentary on Prescott? Turned down a $30M extension and is aiming for $40M. The Twittersphere is roasting Dak big time.
