winning yesterday would've helped... but losing like kind of solidifies Rivera's weaknesses.

He has to reign in Chud and demand more runs at the GL. A bad team can't get over the hump kicking FG's... and they certainly can't stop anyone if the D lets the opponent run the same slant play 5 straight times on the last drive.

It is like a blocked extra point-THE PLAY IS DEAD. For the defenders not to know this , and also Cutler who stupidly chased him, is ridiculous!

The problem with the Panthers and most sub par teams is they do not follow a specific plan. What are they? A defensive team? An Offensive Team? Take the Giants and Steelers for instance. In good times and bad times you understand what the identity of the team is, first and foremost it is a defensive model. They plod along year after year never getting too high in good times or too low in bad. If they do come across a fanchise QB, which both have in recent years, it does not drastically change their overall model in team structure. You can look at other teams such as the Ravens and Eagles who also follow a specific model, you know and understand what you will be seeing on the field and in the front office year after year in good times and bad. Look at teams who have sunk, Chargers, Raiders,Jets,Panthers etc. You do not know what to expect on a year to year basis because of constant change in GMs, head coaches, etc. The succesful teams have a proven model they stick with. The also rans change year in and year out. Sometimes you will get a team that comes from nowhere to win -see the 1999 Rams-but they always slide back to mediocrity. That is the NFL.

Funny how Chud and Cam go from saviors last year to goats this year. Not saying it's undeserved by any stretch, just interesting how it happens like that.

NFL = not for long

Did they really think opponents wouldn't adjust? They run the same plays from the same formations...

The offense feels and looks a lot different to me than last year though. I think part of it is defenses definitely have adjusted to Cam and his abilities however. Chud isn't adjusting his play calling at all, at least until this past week when they went to the ground game a bit more and nearly pulled out the W.

We'll see what fun way the team fouls it up this week! We should really get a pool going on who/how we'll snatch the loss at the last second!

The offense looks different because they are running the same.plays and the D knows it... if they committed to the running game inside the 10 I think this team would have more.success. it makes no.sense having Cam in shotgun Tobias at the GL... the Windows are small and Cam isn't accurate throwing underneath... he lacks touch.

The Panthers made some great moves today, not. No impact players were acquired at a time the Panthers should have made trades.

I think the Panthers will address all needs in the offseason. Better talent that can produce and execute completely and consistently will need to be acquired. Salary will need to be shed. Having a football minded general manager can do just that.

Without a real GM in place I'm kind of glad they didn't do anything dumb right now since they are obviously not making the playoffs or anything like that this year. Don't give away the farm without someone there that has a long-term plan.
