I'm not a fan of the Bengals and their resigning of Chris Henry is making me less fond of them. Chris has managed to get himself into more and more trouble time and time again. There were massive red flags about this guy when he was drafted. The Bengals sorta didn't know what they were getting, that i can understand. Now the Bengals know full well what a thug that Henry is and they are that desperate for WRs to resign him?
This is all on Mike Brown and not on Marvin Lewis. I think the Bengals wont finish with a winning record this season and Marvin will get the boot. When Marvin gets the boot, he better get FAR away from the Bengals because the Bengals are not committed to winning with good players on and off the field.
Alanboy, I couldn't agree with you more. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard it, that has got to be the craziest thing they could have done!! Aside from the fact that the guy is a thug and has blown chance after chance, just think about what kind of message they're sending to the other guys on that team especially ones who have had their own fair share of trouble off the field. It makes no sense!!
I was watching ESPN and saw Chris Henry signed by and missed everything but the B. I said now way they resigned this moron. UGH why would you bring back a problem player, maybe he has talent but not worth it if he is getting arrested and suspended every other week. All the talent in the world but not stable mentally isnt a good player. I feel bad for Coach Lewis cause I dont think he wanted this move.
This is so sad. How blatantly obvious is it that Marvin Lewis has to go? He fosters these problems. But the bengals have more serious problems than their off the field dilemas. and that's DEFENSE! i don't think there is a weaker defense in all of the NFL. The chiefs could give them a run for their money but it would be close. It's a shame to because you have to like the weapons on offense...it's amazing how far they have fallen in such a short time. A while back, their offense rivaled the Colts.
As a Bengal fan, I'm not too thrilled with the signing as well. That being said, he would have been signed by someone else so why should that team benefit from his talent while the Bengals beared the brunt of his stupidity? He's arguably the best receiver on the team (when he's not suspended) and if he gets one jaywalking ticket, he's out of the league for good. The Bengals WR corps are decimated with injuries Henry is very familiar with the system and Palmer as well.
