I think Jimmy is done. Kyle's confidence is shot. I've said it a thousand times before that Jimmy goes as far as his mechanics allow. I love Jimmy and I'm super bummed we'll move in a different direction but his lower body mechanics are poor. NFL caliber QBs need to have the ability to step into their throws and Jimmy doesn't.
I figured he was done when I saw the team didn’t protect him. They just let him get sacked. We have too many injuries this year. We’re done.

They are probably kicking themselves for not signing Brady. If Matt Ryan, gets free for trade, I fully expect the 49ers to blow up Arthur Blank’s phone this off-season to get him. Jimmy will probably look to go back to NE.

Hindsight is 20/20. That said, the writing is on the wall. Matt Ryan is a possibility; I've also heard buzz re: Trey Lance.

Kyle is something like 6-24 when someone besides Jimmy G starts at QB. He's a great OC, not a great coach.

Yeah, I'm looking at it as if this season didn't exist. :-)

After all the York/Tomsula/Kelly/Baalke dysfunction of the mid-2010s, encouraging to see Jed letting Lynch and Shanahan make football decisions, and Jimmy being reasonable about the Lance signing.

Jimmy missed ten games last season (and thirteen in the two seasons prior, combined); does he have a choice but to be 'reasonable', particularly relative to his 'public face'? :-)

Fair, but if you look at how Aaron Rodgers is behaving this could have been much worse.

Apples to oranges. The entire point is Jimmy has no choice, all things considered, but to be 'reasonable'. Is anyone confident he can stay healthy?
