We purchased this particular model because of the option to mount it to the bottom of upper cabinets in addition to setting in on the counter or on a microwave shelf. We could have purchased several other microwave brands with a similar or larger size for considerably less money but were willing to pay more to get the under-cabinet mounting option.
We found the upper mount brackets fairly easy to install but did need two people to complete the installation of the microwave. The upper mounting feature frees up counter space for us but there is at least one negative to this installation choice. The metal mounting brackets lay on the bottom shelf of the upper cabinet creating an uneven surface for items being placed in the cupboard. This may not be an issue for some people. It just depends on what type of items you plan to store on that lowest shelf.
This model also has a turntable that rotates your food as it cooks for even cooking. This was another feature we were looking for. The negative that we have found in relation to the turntable feature has been when we pop popcorn in the microwave. The interior of the microwave is just barely large enough for the length of an expanded microwave popcorn bag. That means that many times the bag of popcorn will get stuck in one position rather than turning with the turn table. This seems to encourage overheating of the bottom of the bag when that happens. Again, not a big issue but something that requires a little closer watch on your popcorn so that it doesn't burn. The glass turntable also lifts out of the microwave easily for quick cleaning in the sink or in the dishwasher.
The microwave has been easy to use. It has several one touch buttons for things like popcorn, dinner plate reheat, pizza reheat, beverage and a couple of others. It also has a defrost feature. The defrost feature is somewhat limited compared to what you might find on some microwaves. Other microwaves I've had allowed you to select what type of meat you were defrosting as well as the weight of the meat. This has only one defrost setting. You only add the weight of the meat to assist the microwave in determining the total time needed for the defrost.
The power level has worked fine for us and the size has been adequate though not perfect. The small size is definitely something to take into consideration before purchasing. It may be too small for large dinner plates.
