Magic Chef Microwave Oven

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

The Magic Chef microwave oven is an efficient and spacious kitchen appliance. The microwave was made in 2006. It offer 1.3 cubic feet of space, a locking door with a seal, a door release button, a glass cooking tray that rotates for even cooking, a timer with defrost mode and nine power settings. There are also automatic timers for popcorn, frozen pizza and leftover reheating. The microwave features a digital readout.

This seems to be one of the safer options on the market for microwaves and it features a three pronged grounded safety plus and a safety interlock system. This locking system shuts the microwave off automatically when the door opens, preventing micro-waves from escaping.

The microwave works for preparing microwave-ready foods and heating leftovers. We also use it to heat individual cups of coffee on the daily basis. The microwave is easy to use and it cooks and heats up food evenly and in a reasonable amount of time. We chose this particular model because it had so many preset features and because it matched our kitchen décor and other small appliances.

If I were to change something about the Magic Chef microwave, I would install a self-cleaning feature. While most microwaves require manual cleaning, having to wipe it out a few times a week is time consuming and it can be difficult to clean the top of the microwave that is often splattered with sauces and food.
