not in the same way.
its physical for men like a good meal.
its emotional for women like winning the lotto or being declared queen for a day.
Not always, sometimes we want just to f**k; it's primal.

Oh boo hoo, males don't cover the market on masturbation.
You don't "have to" though. You might have a porn problem or something. Seems a common problem nowadays & supposedly leads to increased difficulty in erection & ejaculation & also social anxiety.
Thats cute. I masturbate like 5 times a day. Iv been at it since I was like 6.
Let me break it down for you.
Age 6- Accidentally placed the massager vibrator thing on my penis. It was over after that. That dam thing ran out of batteries pretty fast.
Age 9- Accidentally orgasmed after dancing on my mattress to music. I was a professional humper by the time I was 12.
Age 13- Discovered the hand method.
Iv busted thousands and thousands of nuts. I probably have a world record. Nothing to be proud of but it wasn't really my fault as I discovered the massager and the mattress method completely accidentally.
edit: There is no woman alive with half the sex drive I have.

you use lotion?
imo, lube is too much cleanup work involved with it
So while it might be easier for us to find someone to have sex with, it's not so easy to find someone to have sex with that knows what they are doing.
In some ways I am glad, with my 57th birthday approaching and in a relationship that doesn't involve much sex, that I am more or less out of the game. It involves so much jockeying between the sexes to try to make it work simply and reliably when there are so many differences to reconcile. Evolution hath played a trick on us, methinks; all it cares about is that women get pregnant, which is why men tend to climax way too quickly from a woman's point of view. Evolution doesn't care that men get enough sex or that women enjoy it enough. Its job is done.
The upshot of all this is that once the initial cathexis wears off, sex becomes complicated. The man asks, do I make a move or not? Do I risk rejection? The woman asks herself, do I accommodate him and can I fake that I'm into it? Or do I hurt his feelings again? The man makes what he regards as herculean efforts to "go slow" while the woman doesn't seem to even be paying attention and certainly isn't getting anywhere. Earlier that same night, the man is wondering if he should be affectionate or if she'll take it as a come-on. She's wondering if she should reciprocate or if it will just end up in sex. And on and on it goes.
I used to wonder why old folks just live together like comfortable old shoes, without passion. Now I know.
To get back to the OP, I think men and women desire sex just as much, but in incompatible ways.

You seem to discount the mechanism of orgasm and what happens physiologically, i.e., feelings of security and bonding. Evolution doesn't just "care" about pregnancy; the child has to survive infancy and grow up to continue procreating. Humans are social animals and live in groups for a reason.
Yes, that can be true for some women (ok most, well let's say 50%), but 99.9999% of the time men ALWAYS orgasm; NOT so true for women.

I don't understand why men still don't get this.
