It provides sexual release, without the added pressures of having to please someone else or worry about sexual performance.

The term "addiction" is being thrown around pretty loosely here. Pornography certainly can be addictive. As can religion, TV, politics, work, sports, the internet, etc. The tendency for something to become addictive is more a function of the individual than it is of the subject of that addiction.

Virtually anything can become an addiction for someone who has a psychological need to replace reality with fantasy. Generally speaking, if something strongly interferes with one's normal economic and/or social obligations in life, it is probably an addiction. Pornography is hardly the only potential offender in that regard.
I never was a porn addict even when I watched it in in 2006 & 2007 because I never spent a penny to watch porn.

I was the type of person that would hit up the " 40 seconds trailers " and never buy a porn service and , also factor in the point that I could walk away from watching porn after only 20 minutes or so and did so many time during that time period 2006-07.

The vast over whelming amount of males who watch porn are Addicts because they lose track of the amount of money and the amount of time spent on the internet pursuing fantasty sexual satisfaction via porn sites.

My concern is that porn is a stumbling block for 95% of men who want to remain faithful to theirs mates and relationships , I was quite different and was in the 5% who porn actually stopped us from cheating on ours mates and spouses , I was in a bad place in my marriage and wasn't getting enough sex " and refused to be Asexual " I didn't use porn as a means to masturbate but as a means to see what I wasn't getting ( and know that I wasn't living in a altered world devoid of sexual activity) .

So you only watched roughly 30 different porn clips at a time?

Link, comparing those males to males who watch free porn, that supports your statement?

20 pages and I still don't understand how porn is an addiction. Either way I just usually have the girls I'm dating send me nudes. I usually find them hotter than the women in the videos

I'm a broken record with this. Ladies: Porn is not about you, meaning, it doesn't exist solely as a substitute for having sex with you rendering it unnecessary if you're there to sleep with. It has its own merits and its own entertainment value independent of you. Therefore, a man having a girlfriend/wife/whatever will not automatically negate his interest in and enjoyment of porn.

Porn addicts exist but enjoying porn isn't an addiction "just because". Still, even without addiction, it's been proven that an excessive indulgence in porn can and does have an impact on arousal and arousal triggers that can (can doesn't mean always will) negatively effect their sexual intimacy with their mate. If anyone wants to see studies or statistics about that, I can't link information in my brain, Google it, I'm sure some related stuff will come up.

I do not have a girlfriend, I watch porn to relieve tension. It works.

I watch just because I like to watch, and the genres that I like aren't things that I could actually do with a guy anyway. (At least not one guy)

It's an " addiction " if you spent too much money and time , or more important matter suffer because of it.

You just described my job. It takes up far too much time and keeps me from the important things in life. I need help.

Yeah " workaholic " is an addiction also , but at the very least it's makes you : money instead of taking your money like porn addiction does.

Everybody who likes sex/hex/vex likes to watch porn , but I don't allow myself to be taken over by
porn , which porn can easily do without you even noticing it or being aware of it.

I don't like watching porn in this way also , you can't have sex with the porn models , and you know that you want to if you're being honest with yourself , so don't even lie ( like I never wanted to have sex with a porn star ) type of thing.

I have found out in life that there are a lot of things that I have to somehow stop myself from liking ,
because it's so natural for me to like them , but if I allow myself to like them they are going to cause negative things to happen in my life.
