What used to be wrong with it is that it used to depict violence against women. And violence was sometimes involved in producing it. Nowadays, much of what's available on the internet isn't porn, it's erotica. Men and women participate on an equal basis, and the genre isn't based on the humiliation and exploitation of women. Of course, that other stuff is still around, which is why there's still a stigma attached to it. But the genre has evolved.

You should see the young men heads speed away, trying to understand why(I'd explain it to them, they still wouldn't understand - hormonal mist too powerful at that age) I would deny myself the intimate company of women.

Women on the other hand became scared. I never understood that one.
You forgot the biggest one. Delusional.

Ever get a sore arm from patting yourself on the back so much about how great you are?

What was this "violence against women"?

The acts of domination still exist in internet porn. Massively. And only get harder and more extreme. Period. Sorry, frank truth. Your comment carries as much truth as me stating domestic violence or pedophilia rarely goes on in the world today.

There is plenty of porn depicting women beating or canning men.

"Erotica" is what you're imply playboy was. Evidencing my point of how porn is addicting and one needs a greater fix of "harder" stuff. You're erotica in the early 1980s when I was a kid was considered the extremely grotesque porn. Playboy was porn up and down. Now today as people saturated in porn culture from the internet need a greater "fix" the playboy is just "erotica."
Playboy was porn? Playboy was just "girlie magazines". It wasn't porn. Early Playboy wasn't even allowed to do nude crotch shots. Have you seen old Playboy mags? That's not porn, never was.

Back when sex films made it big, when things loosened up and porn started to become mainstream, in the 60's, some women were coerced into doing those films. It was hugely controversial partly for that reason. There's a lot more diversity in porn now. Women wouldn't watch it with their bf's if all of it were degrading to women, think about it. Most dudes aren't going to sit their gf down to watch shyt that degrades women.

It is true.

Playboy was the furthest thing from my mind when I posted that. I'm talking about film. "Erotica" was a word that was used to differentiate between porn that was exploitive or demeaning of women, and porn that showed women's sexuality in a positive light, and where neither male nor female had a power advantage. More recently, the term "sex-positive" porn has been used to describe porn in which women and men are portrayed as equals.

There's much better information available but this article gives "8 Signs that your partner is addicted to Porn"...

One of the characteristics is that 'they lose interest in sex....'

Quote:
On the flip side, some couples use, or have used, various forms of erotica to help spice up their sex life. After all, porn is often recommended as one way lovers can be more intimate with each other.

But instead of peaking pleasure, porn has become far more than titillation: It’s taking over one’s life. Instead of enhancing sex, the porn itself has become the object of desire. Now, one partner may find themselves competing with porn for his or her partner’s attention.

In either scenario, what signs should tip you off that your partner might have a serious problem with pornography?

I would rather make love to my wife , even if she was a 5/6 on a scale of 1 to 10 than " watch a 10" in a porn movie. Intimate personal interaction is what makes love making what it is to me at lease.
