I'd say the person who is concerned with closed drawers is the OCD. The person leaving the drawers partly open is definitely non-OCD. No mystery there.
Nah. I have a very curious and occasionally destructive cat. Unless I'm content to have said feline making a nest in my underwear drawer or testing gravity by pushing the dishes out of the cabinet, I have to keep my drawers and cabinets closed.

It doesn't have anything to do with OCD, it has to do with some people are just slobs.
I think closing or not closing is a habit most of us develop really young. I grew up in a very neat household with ample closet, cupboard and drawer space for everything. We were "closers" and I still am. My husband grew up in a cramped NY apt without enough space for anything. Everything was jumbled and disorganized. They were "not closers" and he still isn't. Now that he has developed mild dementia it is getting worse. I reached in the back of the fridge to get a jar of pickes and the lid just came off in my hand and the jar spilled all over the fridge.
Since he's older, maybe since it's harder for older people to open lids, they purposely just leave it like that so that they can access it more easily?
Could a reason for not wanting to close a drawer be because maybe a clothes stench would develop if you don't give the clothes some air? Could this be running in the back of some people's heads?
I know that seems to be true if I have a walking closet full of clothes. Drawers are typically meant to be closed.
Talking about clothes reminds me of the Bart Simpson Space Mutants game phone joke "Oliver Closeoff."
LOL. I talk to the seatbelt beepy thing too. Alright, alright. I was going to, hold on a SECOND. I have not even considered driving yet, what is the rush? May I please arrange my things before I strap myself in?
Lordy. It starts beeping too soon. I was young when seatbelt laws were enacted. I KNOW! I am NOT going anywhere unstrapped!
Haha... I always buckle my seatbelt, but sometimes if I'm going to be hopping out at the garbage or mailboxes (we have them at the top of our road), I might not put it on for that minute. And my new car YELLS at you, getting progressively louder and aggressive after the first few seconds. I admit, I've yelled back at it more than once. "Omg, I hear you!! Chill out!!" lol
Do you know what OCD is? For starters, it's not an adjective.

You can't BE OCD. You HAVE OCD.
To the topic, my bf's son, pushing 40, has terrible ADHD, and you always know when he has been in the kitchen because the cabinet doors are all open and drawers might be pulled out.
I'm up super early so I don't close much of anything so I don't wake anyone up that doesn't need to be.
No door slams, no toilet flushes, no banging pots and pans.
