The OP didn't mention bullies unless we are talking the crazy guy in N. Korea Kim Jong-un. But what's that have to do with young adults? And me never having children - uh what are we talking about here? Are you in the right thread?

Its worrisome. I am unhappy with recent turns of events.

There is little you can do about any of this, unless you enlist. We've been anxious before, and this is no different. I think N. Korea has an end game. I suspect the goal of all this is to get sanctions lifted. They would be insane to provoke war. At any rate, the nuclear bomb is the horse out of the barn, and the rest of the world has to live with it.

Go about your business and prepare for a life you have every reason to expect to live normally. If you are affected, everyone else will be affected too. (This is what my mom told me when I used to worry about the country having a Depression. In other words we will all be in the same boat.)

I live on the west coast, supposedly now in range of that fat tard running NK. If they decided to launch something it would most likely be the Port of LA and the Port of Long Beach. If they hit one of those two locations it would kills tens of thousands of people and would destroy our economy as much of the freight from foreign nations goes through those two ports.

Not saying that the threat isn't a somewhat real one, but if we look back we always had something to be up in arms about. I remember being in grade school and doing drills to prepare for a nuke attack from Russia/Soviet Union. I remember crawling under the school desks, LOL, like that is really going to do much, but whatever.

I guess what I'm saying is since there is zero things that we as civilians can do is to just ignore most of it. I don't really know what else to say. Could something happen, yeah, most likely not. Someone in that regime has to realize that if they send over a nuke, that we're going to send over ten right back at them. It's a zero sum game really at the end of the day. I see lots of old dudes surrounding lil Kim, surely some wisdom has to exist in that circle of idiots over there.

There is literally nothing to gain from NK hitting us. Anyone with a shred of logic in their heads can see this. It's what kept the Russians and us from literally killing each other. Hopefully this mutual assured destruction element is something that the tard over there can see too.

I think most of this is bluster and that NK wants to be able to sit at the big boy table with the rest of the civilized world, them being a loud annoying voice is probably just a call out to the rest of the world, "look at us, we're powerful too."

Simple, don't!

You need to improve your "personal attack" skills so I can hand it over to the mods. LOL, I can barely understand your point.

But the OP is not a child, but apparently 25 years old. When I said he needs counseling I was serious. You can see the trend when you see his posting history:

He seems to have some sort of unhealthy preoccupation with world destruction that go beyond the scope of what we can help in this forum. Reason and reality certainly won't, neither is you saying "Life is tough, kid. Period." exactly helping either.

Two alternatives.
One, get a set and wait since there is not much you can do about it; or two, take life into your own hands and you should know what that means.

As for others. This is not a problem Trump created, look at the past three presidents and see what they have done, and that is NOTHING. They just kept passing it along to the next guy into the WH.

And now a lot of cowards and saying we should do nothing and allow it to pass to the next generation. So, what do you guys expect Trump to do if the little fat guy decides to blow up SF? Sit back and apologize for SF being in the path of the missile; what Obama would have done, or take out the missiles sites and capital of NOKO; something that will be needed.

Hopefully, Trump can hurt China through trade and in turn, they will get rid of the fat guy so that there might be a reasonable government put into place. Doesn't have to be a capitalist regime but a reasonable one.

I'm more concerned about what's for dinner than what might or might not not happen with North Korea. Every day is a crap shoot. There are no guarantees in life. Deal with it.

Civilization ended a long time ago. Focus on living now instead of worrying about the future.

'cause, you know, you could get hit by a truck 10 minutes from now, and it won't matter to you if the world keeps spinning.

I second the suggestion for counseling. There is nothing wrong with getting professional help.

The world almost ended before already (look up Cuba missile crisis). I was on the other side of Iron Curtain and we were fed propaganda all the time that US will start the nuclear war any second now. Imagine my surprise when I moved to the US and learned we were the bad guys.

I was totally scared and felt the same way but I was in middle school, not in my 20s. This anxiety must really interfere with your life, so really, make an appointment and see a specialist. Best of luck to you and take care of yourself!

I can identify with the fear you felt. I remember a Friday night in October of 1962. I was a sophomore in High School and it was a fantastic night for football. I managed a decent kickoff but in the back of my mind I was wondering if we might be playing our last football game. We were all scared.

I think the solution to the problem of N. Korea is going to have to come from the PEOPLE of N. Korea. Was there anything that the USA could have done to convince the Cuban people to rise up against Castro? I would like to know your thoughts on that.

Where are Kennedy and Kruschev when we really need them?
