I am looking at a foreclosed house in Port Charlotte, the house is pretty new however somehow the windows and nearby wall is broken. How would I estimate to have the wall fixed? Any input is welcome. Thanks a lot.

define broken

if its cracked stucco it may be a simple repair and re-paint
but beware.....

I looked at a house that was advertised as having 'a crack in the stucco'...oh yea , you could see thru the stucco, thru the cracked blockwork and see the back of the internal insulation. we walked inside to check and it looked like the foundation had lifted too................

and that wasn't the bad news, it also had CDW , stunk like crazy and when my realtor called the selling realtor to tell him he was 'really I never noticed'................yea right......

Contact a local contractor and have them look at it and give you a quote. That is what some of my investors do before they decide to submit an offer.

Could be, I didn't think about that, but I went with water damage based on the other issues.

Another way to estimate is take what you think it will cost and multiply by 3...assuming you want to do it right.

A lot depends on how much you can do yourself. Again assuming you know what you are doing, that also helps when getting bids. If you have a hard time driving a nail you may want to reconsider...

I knew Chinese Drywall is an issue in Cape Coral -- but how about in PGI or BSI?
